Rotomotion is releasing its R3.4 software to ship on all new SR20, SR100 and SR200 UAV systems. This release contains many new features, both in software and hardware. See the screen shots and videos below that demonstrate some of the new features found in R3.4.
New Software Features
All parts of the system have been effected: onboard AFCS, onboard IMU and ground control softare.
- onboard: new flight control laws for better position hold, especially altitude control in very gusty winds.
- onboard: new flight control law for fast forward flight (25 knots on SR20).
- onboard: additional telemetry data.
- onboard: automatic take off and landing.
- onboard: Novatel GPS support
- ground: integrated MPEG2 and MPEG4 video playback and recording.
- ground: USB joystick support with easy function assignment to joystick and buttons.
- ground: fly over images that are easily geo-referenced.
- ground: new attitude indicator.
New Hardware Features
- new inertial measuring unit with increased sensitivity, increased signal clarity, increased bandwidth
- new onboard data bus for near future support of redundant sensors
- more actuator connections, up to 20 high fidelity actuators
- more payload control such as relays (which are triggered in waypoint route)
- electric propulsion system telemetry, current up to 100A
